My name is Nicol von Schummer. I was born in Vermont and grew up around the state capital Montpelier and at the base of Camel’s Hump Mountain. I spent my free time hiking, skiing, mountain biking, camping, swimming in the brook across the dirt road that we lived on, and enjoying all that the state forest around my house had to offer.

In 1992 my parents moved their business and our family to Charlotte, NC. I finished high school there and started college. I kept visiting my friends in Wilmington and decided to move to the coast to finish college at UNCW. This area is home to me because of the coastal lifestyle, the beautiful weather, and the rewarding relationships that I have built. I enjoy the sun, the surf, boating, walking, horseback riding, gardening, meeting new people, and going out to eat in the many unique restaurants in the area.

I have been in retail and customer service my entire life. I grew up in a family owned business, worked at various retailers, and managed a home décor store for 4 years. However, real estate has always been something that I knew I wanted to get involved in, so I started by taking the real estate class and thoroughly enjoyed it.

While taking the class I met Andra Knight at Platinum Properties USA; she needed an assistant and I was looking for a career transition. Enthusiastically we decided that we wanted to work together. Now I am proud to represent a company that values excellent customer service and delivers quality.  The passion of the visionary Sean Scanlon and the incredible team of people he has surrounded himself with at Platinum Properties USA empower me. Ultimately, my goal is to go above and beyond to assist people in finding that special space to call their own, while enjoying all that this beautiful area of coastal North Carolina provides.
