As many of you already know, we recently held our Summer Property Discovery Weekend, August 25-27th here in the Cape Fear Region. The event was a great success, and we were able to introduce our wonderful communities to a number of new friends and Platinum Properties Community Members. Everyone had a great time, and many people were able to discover their perfect homesite.

We kicked off the weekend with a meet and greet at The Clarendon Inn with excellent food and a presentation from our President and CEO Sean Scanlon. The night was made extra special as we also celebrated the birthday of a very special little girl Reese, the youngest Platinum Properties guest, from Cary, NC. After Mr. Scanlon’s presentation, everyone had an opportunity to socialize and meet many of the people who are likely to be their new neighbors in one of our wonderful communities.

Saturday, we could not have asked for a more beautiful day! With the sun shining bright, and a cool breeze throughout the day, everyone enjoyed our Coastal Barbecue and Fish Fry with all the fixings. Helicopter tours began early in the day, and due to the overwhelming response, we continued the tours throughout the day much later than we had anticipated. At Spring Lake at Maritime Shores, kayaks were onsite to give everyone the opportunity to explore this crystal-clear lake in the center of the community. At Cypress Bay, light skiff rides were available to view the property from beautiful Town Creek. Along with Personal Property Tours, everyone had the opportunity to select their perfect homesite from Land, Sea, and Air.

Over the course of the weekend, many took advantage of exploring the USS Battleship North Carolina, as well as a tour of the Cape Fear River aboard the Platinum Properties Hospitality Yacht. Also, with the extra activities planned, some took advantage of catching “Little Shop of Horrors” at Thalian Hall, exploring the Cape Fear Museum, and enjoying great food at a number of local restaurants. All in all, it was a great time for everyone involved!
